 What is Hellerwork?

Hellerwork is an integrating process combining structural bodywork, movement education, and dialog based on the inseparability of body, mind, and spirit.

The goal of hellerwork is to balance the body's structure, free natural movement and expression to enhance your ability to adapt more easily to life's changes.

Hellerwork brings awareness into the reality of daily living so we can experience life as fully as possible every moment.

The 3 components of Hellerwork

Structural Bodywork is designed to address inhibited range of motion, physical deterioration associated with aging, chronic pain due to structural imbalance, and muscular tension and/or injuries. Structural bodywork is a hands-on process that utilizes myofascial release and deep tissue work to loosen and lengthen the body's fascia, thereby releasing chronic tension and rigidity.

Movement Education is designed to address how to use your body in your normal daily activities. You gain an expanded awareness and knowledge of your habitual posturing and chronic muscular tensions. Movement sessions also expand your capacity for creating new ways to move. Thus you experience your body functioning as a whole versus a disjointed collection of parts.

Dialogue/Personal Awareness during Hellerwork sessions provides the opportunity to gain insights into how your attitudes and beliefs influence your body's health and well-being. With increased personal awareness and self discovery, you are able to adapt and create sensible solutions in stressful situations and deal successfully with life's changes.
